Abstract
Objectiv: This study aims to identify the challenges faced by nurses in the daily practices of the profession Methodology: Descriptive, exploratory research with a qualitative approach of the data, performed through an interview with 15 nurses in a Public Hospital, the information collected being analyzed by Content proposed by Bardin. Results: Based on the analysis of the statements of the deponents, it was verified that the main challenges faced by nurses in their daily practices refer mainly to poor working conditions, lack of necessary materials, lack of human resources, inadequate physical structure of the workplace. Work and professional devaluation with regard to low pay. Conclusion: The study points to the need to implement public health policies aimed at strengthening the organizational and health care dimension of health services, promoting a resolutive and satisfactory work environment for its employees and users.
