During the morning shift, patients were prepared to exchange the dressing. They were performed after bathing of all patients. Among the wounds treated, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot (neuropathic) wounds, and ischemic ulcers predominated. In addition to these, other ulcers were treated in less quantity. The accomplishment of periodical dressings contributed to the closure of the lesion, considering the recovery time necessary for its good evolution. Conclusion: As dressings are performed correctly, in order to reduce cross-infection, and help accelerate the healing process of the patient, it decreases the patient's stay in the hospital, leading to better recovery and increased quality of life.
