Abstract
Objective: Elucidate the immunomodulatory and pharmacokinetic profile of therapies with CAR-T, CTLA-4, mAbs with adjuvants and combined for clinical use in human cells. Methods: This is an integrative review study with systematic analysis, the databases where the articles were searched were NCBI, BVS, Scielo, Pubmed, Periódicos Capes and LILACS. 162 articles were identified and only 37 selected for review, the keywords were standardized according to the descriptors in health sciences (DeCs) and the articles categorized in full. Results: The findings reinforce the molecular profile of CAR-T as alternatives for depletion of cancer cells, mAbs are strategies that already have clinical and approved use, potentiating it’s combination with CTLA-4 responsive gene activation generated more robust anticancer responses. Neoantigens are promising strategies and have the ability to modulate specific responses to T cells and can be used as future targets for the production of anticancer vaccines. Final considerations: Current immunotherapy strategies are potentiating a cure for cancer, however other mechanisms need to be further investigated as in the case of solid tumors which makes it a limitation.
