Resumen
Objetivo: Informar un caso de fascitis necrosante primaria de la mama y compararlo con datos de la literatura. Detalles del caso: Paciente de 44 años ingresada con un proceso inflamatorio/infeccioso en la mama, sometida a drenaje de absceso y desbridamiento dos días después de la hospitalización debido a la progresión de la enfermedad, diagnosticándose fascitis necrosante mamaria. Cuatro días después del abordaje quirúrgico, con un empeoramiento clínico, se realizó una nueva intervención con desbridamiento, terapia con antibióticos y curaciones para resolver el cuadro. La paciente evolucionó con mejoría clínica y de laboratorio, siendo dada de alta tras completar el tratamiento medicamentoso. Consideraciones finales: La fascitis necrosante de la mama presenta un diagnóstico desafiante. Como enfermedad potencialmente fatal, de inicio rápido y agresivo, requiere identificación temprana mediante examen clínico, estudios de imagen y cultivo de tejidos, además de tratamiento con antibióticos de amplio espectro y desbridamiento, que constituye la base de la terapia.
