Abstract
Objective: To carry out a literature review of the literature on the benefits of using collagen biostimulators in the treatment of the face. Bibliographic Review: In the dermatological market there are dermal fillers poly-L-lactic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, polycaprolactone and polymethylmethacrylate, with the ability to stimulate neocollagenesis through a local subclinical inflammatory response. Each product has unique characteristics in terms of composition, time of onset of effect and durability. All dermal fillers are considered effective and safe, and can be used by properly trained professionals. Final considerations: Aging is inevitable. It is a natural process that involves all classes of living beings. Collagen biostimulators consist of excellent materials that can prevent or reverse the effects of facial aging. There is still no biostimulant filler that is considered perfect, but rather the place of treatment, the professional's experience with the product and the results, time to obtain the results and other variables.
