Abstract
Objective: Define the main clinical manifestations and complications of Post-COVID-19 Syndrome. Methods: This is an integrative review carried out by searching the PubMed and BVS databases. After applying the eligibility criteria, 20 articles were selected and analyzed. Results: There is a high prevalence of Long COVID in mild, moderate and severe cases of COVID-19, being characterized by multisystemic sequelae. The predominance of dyspnea, myalgia and fatigue was observed as physical symptoms characteristic of Long COVID, in addition to anhedonia, brain fog, cognitive impairment and symptoms of post-traumatic stress constituting the main clinical manifestations that affect mental health. Among the predominant complications, chest pain, heart and lung diseases, autonomic neuropathy and memory loss were reported. Final considerations: It is considered that diagnostic investigation based on symptoms and adequate management of Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome conditions can improve the quality of life and recovery of patients, reducing social, personal and health system costs.
