Abstract

Objective: To analyze the influence of music therapy (MT) on children undergoing hospital admission. Methods: This research was carried out considering the Integrative Literature Review (RIL), to this end, the following problem question was postulated “What is the influence of music therapy on hospitalized children and how has it been applied?” To organize the data, an instrument validated by Ursi ES (2005) was applied, adapting it for a more in-depth and systematic assessment of the topic, with the aim of facilitating the analysis of the chosen articles. The descriptive data were organized and analyzed using the Microsoft Word 365 program. Results: Sixteen articles were analyzed that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria and obtained relevant results about the effects of TM on children in hospitalization. Final considerations: Given the results found, it was possible to verify that music therapy brings benefits that can range from positive impacts on the body in its biological dimension, as well as psychological, as well as in social aspects, since this therapeutic modality also has the potential to strengthen family bonds.
