Abstract
Objective: To identify the sociodemographic and clinical profile of patients treated in the Physiotherapy sector, specifically, orthopedics and traumatology cases in a Specialized Reference Unit. Methods: This is a descriptive, quantitative, retrospective study, based on data from medical records of 65 users treated at a Specialized Reference Unit-URE in a municipality in the interior of the Amazon in the state of Pará, from January 2021 to December 2022. The sociodemographic variables analyzed were: sex, age, occupation and municipality of residence. The clinical variables were: main complaint, main segment affected, clinical diagnosis and comorbidities. Results: The majority of patients are women, aged 60 or over, working in domestic and cleaning services. The main complaint reported was pain, the main body segment affected was the spine in the lumbar region. The most common clinical diagnosis was inflammatory processes (tendinitis, bursitis, epicondylitis, neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, fibromyalgia, among others). Conclusion: The information found in the research can allow improvements in the direction of assessments and therapeutic approaches in order to facilitate prevention and patient monitoring strategies.
