Abstract
Objective: to develop and validate the educational video for Nursing students about effective prevention measures for Pressure Injury (PPI) in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Methods: the script (storyboard) was constructed and validated by 22 expert judges, and its appearance was validated using the Educational Content Validity Index (CVI); and by eight nursing students (target audience) using the adapted Suitability Assessment of Materials questionnaire. For data analysis, in addition to the CVI, the binomial test was applied to assess whether there were statistically significant differences between the judges' opinions. For the storyboard, a time frame of the literature was used between 2013 and 2023, with the incidence of PPI in neonates in the NICU, a theoretical review on the skin of newborns (NB), definition, risk factors, and preventive measures for PPI. Results: with 7 minutes and 51 seconds, the video was validated by expert judges and the target audience, meeting the objective of nursing students' knowledge about risk factors, preventive measures and effective prevention of PPI in NICU. Conclusion: Educational technologies help to increase knowledge about risk factors and effective preventive measures in the development of PPI in the NICU.
