Abstract

Objective: To analyze the outcomes of violence against women during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Methods: This is a systematic review conducted according to the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute and reported following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The review covered the following databases: CINAHL, EMBASE, LILACS, PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and grey literature, including Google Scholar. The methodological quality was assessed using JBI tools. The protocol was registered on the PROSPERO platform – CRD42022293362. Results: A total of 23 publications were reviewed, which addressed the biopsychosocial impacts of violence against women during the COVID-19 pandemic. The outcomes included an increase in domestic violence, impact on the mental health of victims, and barriers to accessing support services. Final considerations: The included studies revealed a significant correlation between women's exposure to various forms of violence during the COVID-19 pandemic and their adverse outcomes, encompassing physical, psychological, sexual, and financial aspects.
