Abstract
Objective: Verify the scientific evidence regarding the difficulties of the multiprofessional team in managing factors that interfere with breastfeeding. Methods: This study is an Integrative Literature Review, of a retrospective and documentary nature. The study was constructed through the following steps: 1) Construction of the thematic and guiding question; 2) Establishment of inclusion and exclusion criteria; 3) Collection of studies from scientific databases; 4) Evaluation of selected abstracts; 5) Evaluation and categorization of full-text studies; 6) Analysis and interpretation of results. Results: This methodology yielded 14 studies after thorough investigation. It was found that the main difficulties reported in the literature regarding breastfeeding management include: lack of knowledge and training on the subject, lack of communication among teams, and insufficient assistive technologies for professionals. Final considerations: Investing in continuous education for professionals is an effective strategy to improve the quality of care in comprehensive attention networks for women and children.
