Abstract
Objective: To analyze national and international scientific production on quality of life in pregnant women treated in primary health care settings. Methods: Integrative literature review in the databases VHL, PsycNet, and PubMed, carried out between November 2022 and January 2023. Inclusion criteria included articles published between 2012 and 2022, in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, that used quality of life scales or addressed the topic. Results: From the analysis of the 10 articles, 3 thematic categories emerged: 1- Prenatal care as a promoter of comprehensive health and quality of life; 2- Social determinants of pregnant women’s health and quality of life; and 3- Factors related to pregnancy and their repercussions on mental health and quality of life. Final considerations: Prenatal care, the comprehensive approach, and the active participation of the family and partner are crucial and are considered protective factors for the overall health and quality of life of pregnant women.
