Abstract
Objective: To extract information about the early diagnosis of leprosy in Primary Health Care. Methods: This is an integrative review of scientific studies selected from the PubMed platforms and the Regional Portal of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), using the terms Leprosy, early diagnosis, and Primary Health Care as search descriptors. Full articles from June 2014 and June 2024, in Portuguese and English, were included. Systematic reviews, case studies, case reports, editorials, and dissertation and thesis studies were excluded. Results: A total of 12 articles were selected, and their contents were directly related to the theme of early diagnosis in leprosy. Conclusion: Early diagnosis is extremely relevant in the fight against and control of leprosy in Primary Health Care, especially in reducing cases of physical disability and damage to the quality of life of patients.
