Abstract
Objective: To report a clinical case of subglottic stenosis associated with granulomatosis with polyangiitis, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate therapeutic approach. Case description: This is a 40-year-old female patient with a previous diagnosis of granulomatosis with polyangiitis, a rare autoimmune disease characterized by systemic vasculitis. The patient sought medical care due to progressive dyspnea, which was diagnosed through imaging studies and spirometry, revealing subglottic stenosis. After confirmation of the diagnosis, immunosuppressive treatment with specific medications was initiated, with a good clinical response, leading to improvement in respiratory symptoms and quality of life. Final considerations: This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach in managing rare manifestations of granulomatosis with polyangiitis, a condition that can severely compromise respiratory function. The positive response to immunosuppressive treatment reinforces the relevance of appropriate therapy for symptom control and complication prevention.
