Abstract
Objective: To assess the influence of commuting time on sleep quality, well-being, and physical activity among students. Methods: This integrative review was conducted using databases including Google Scholar, the CAPES Journals Portal (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel), and PubMed (National Library of Medicine). The guiding question was: How does commuting time influence sleep quality, well-being, and physical activity? Health Science Descriptors (DeCS) in both English and Portuguese were used, combining expressions such as "influence of commuting home/school" with "sleep," "well-being," and "physical activity." Results: A total of 144 articles were found; after evaluating the titles and abstracts, unrelated articles were excluded, resulting in 28 selected articles. Final considerations: The daily commute between home and school has negatively affected the population's sleep quality and well-being; however, physical activity, when adopted as a form of active mobility, may help improve these aspects.
