Abstract
Objective: To characterize the epidemiological profile, staging, and therapeutic patterns of the main gynecological, genitourinary, and anal neoplasms recorded in hospital facilities in Goiás between 2019 and 2024. Methods: An ecological, descriptive, and retrospective study using data from TABNET/DATASUS for Goiás (2019–2024). Demographic characteristics, clinical staging, and therapeutic modalities for the main gynecological and genitourinary neoplasms were analyzed using descriptive analysis of absolute and relative frequencies. Results: A total of 10,001 neoplasm cases were identified, with a predominance of prostate cancer, followed by cancers of the cervix, ovary, and uterine body. A high frequency of diagnoses at advanced stages was observed for most of the analyzed neoplasms. Cancers of the prostate, penis, anus, vagina, and vulva occurred predominantly in older patients, whereas testicular cancer primarily affected young adults. Surgery was the primary therapeutic modality, while chemotherapy predominated for prostate, cervical, and anal cancers. Conclusion: The main gynecological, genitourinary, and anal neoplasms in Goiás showed a high frequency of diagnosis at advanced stages, as well as differences in age and therapeutic profiles. These findings reinforce the importance of prevention, screening, and early diagnosis strategies, contributing to the improvement of public policies aimed at controlling these neoplasms.
