Abstract
Objective: To know the opinion of students of the technical course in nursing in relation to remote education, observing the impacts of the pandemic on the student's daily life. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study conducted with 50 students of the technical nursing course at a public educational institution, located in the Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais. The students' opinion about remote teaching in the technical nursing course was assessed by applying an online questionnaire with sixteen objective questions. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics using the STATA software. Results: There was an acceptance of the offer of disciplines in the non-face-to-face modality, given the impossibility of taking face-to-face classes. However, difficulties were raised for the realization of the same as the absence of quality computer and internet equipment, in addition to the difficulty in accessing the platforms of the classes. Conclusion: We conclude that the interviewees have no intention of evading the course and recognize that the important role that health professionals are playing in the COVID-19 scenario influences their permanence in the course.
