Abstract
Objective: To describe the use of metalloceramic partial fixed prosthesis with ceramic gingiva, as esthetic rehabilitation in the anterior maxilla region in the absence of surgical interventions with grafting and installation of implants, in a second moment, due to systemic conditions or financial issues. Case details: Female patient, 50 years old, complaining of the esthetic state of her upper teeth. The vertical dimension of occlusion and the patient's labial support were restored, improving the aged appearance, still in the provisional prosthesis phase. A metallic infrastructure was made covered with feldspar ceramic, based on the selection of colors suitable for the patient, in addition to preparation for total ceramic crowns on neighboring teeth. The prosthesis design included an area of gingiva with coloring similar to the patient's mucosa, respecting the aesthetic and functional relationship. Final considerations: This prosthetic modality was the most accessible option in the face of an unfavorable condition for the replacement of lost teeth by implants with grafting of hard and soft tissues.
