Abstract

Objective: To present a folder on palliative care that can be applied in health services. Experience report: The elaboration of the work started from a bibliographic survey of recent articles using the descriptors: palliative care, nursing and intensive care. The preparation of the folder was inspired by the experience of the authors of this work during nursing care for terminal patients, observing the need to offer information to patients, family members, caregivers and health professionals. The making of the folder with layout and images concerns palliative care and the importance of welcoming professionals and family members to these individuals in situations of organic and physical perishability. Final considerations: Patient care in palliation is present in all health services, including intensive care units, and this patient may also remain with care at home depending on the economic and social structure. And the educational material folder, facilitating apparatus will help during the training of health professionals and in the guidance and care of patients and their families.
