Abstract
Objective: To verify the evidence of studies on the role of nurses in the school environment, inserted in this scenario as a determinant subject for health promotion. Method: Integrative review of the literature from 2017 to 2021. It was used as a guiding question for the research: How does Nursing work in the school health service for health promotion, disease prevention and health problems? The bibliographic survey tookplace in April 2022, with searches being carried out in the SCIELO, PUBMED LILACS and Acervo+ Index base, using the terms of the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS): School Nursing, Health Promotion, School Health Services. Results: After applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 1,363 articles were found. Of these, 1 duplicate article and 431 that did not meet the eligibility criteria were excluded. Twelve articles were selected for full reading, with a final sample of 10 articles. Final considerations: Training through dialogue on the subject with practical elements proved to be effective in enabling knowledge about the subject in a school environment, since after the health interventions, successes in the activities for the quality of health coordinated by nursing were noticeable.
