Abstract
Objective: To understand the benefits of humanized childbirth in the intensification of the mother-child bond and in the reduction of medical interventions. Review Bibliographic: Humanized childbirth refers to a set of actions of health professionals, which aims to respect and create conditions for women to be attended in their physiological, social and cultural aspects during childbirth, not intervening in a way unnecessary. In addition, the feeling of respect and pleasure in postpartum women who experience humanized childbirth is remarkable. In addition, the risks of complications in humanized normal births are 3.5 times lower when compared to cesarean surgeries. Intimate contact, snuggle, touch, look and breastfeeding immediately after birth are some of the actions that the health team can take to encourage the healthy development of the mother-child bond soon after birth. Considerations Final: Thus, it is necessary to understand women's expectations regarding the moment of childbirth. In addition, it is important to search for the quality of childbirth care services and the contribution of professionals in the humanization of such a moment.
