Abstract
Objective: To understand the perceptions of puerperal women who participated in the virtual intervention “O Poder de Parir” about knowledge and empowerment for labor and birth. Methods: Descriptive, cross-sectional, qualitative study, carried out in the Family Health Strategies (ESF) of a city in the interior of Pernambuco, Brazil. The sample, by saturation criterion, was composed of 6 postpartum women who participated in five virtual conversation circles of the group “o poder de parir” and sent 11 educational videos via whatsapp. The activities had content about empowerment and knowledge about labor and birth. Data analysis was aided by the iramutec software, based on descending hierarchical classification analysis. Results: From the data analysis, three groups of classes emerged: report of labor and the relationship with the pain of contractions; limits and lessons acquired in the circles of virtual pregnant women for the empowerment of labor and birth; importance of preparation for labor and birth. Conclusion: The participants of the virtual conversation wheel reported favorable perceptions with the intervention "o poder de parir" regarding knowledge and empowerment in labor and birth.
