Abstract

Objective: To develop and prototype an application to enhance access to public health information for citizens, health professionals, and managers, generating public value. Methods: The study was conducted in the capitals Florianópolis and Maceió. The methodology was structured in five stages: literature review; data collection on information needs of stakeholders and preferences related to usability; analysis of feedback from users of similar solutions; specification of use cases; prototype development using the atomic design methodology. Results: The collected data reinforced the hypothesis that access to information has significant gaps and allowed the identification of the most relevant needs. The prototype proved to be intuitive and customizable for different municipalities, with potential benefits for citizens, health professionals, and managers. Conclusion: The proposed application offers a promising solution to the challenges related to public health information, enhancing a more efficient and informed health care network.
