Abstract
Objective: Listing the construction and validation of an educational material for caregivers of people with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis at home through an methodological study. Methods: The construction and validation of the content of the educational material occurred from July 2020 to April 2021, following the Pasquali Psychometrics: theoretical, empirical and analytical procedure. For the construction of the content a scope review was performed following the guidelines of The Joanna Briggs Institute, later the difficulties/needs described by caregivers in studies on home care was organized into five themes that originated the scripts, to assist caregivers in home care for the person with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in the form of dialogues. This material was validated by expert judges, according to the 12 Pasquali criteria. Final notes: The educational material was considered valid by the judges and of great importance to assist the caregivers, presented simple language, relevant content that will facilitate home care.
