The use of the Maguerez arc by nursing professionals who work with systematization of mental health care

Abstract

Objective: To share the experience of using the Maguerez arch with nursing professionals who work in mental health, as a way of contributing to the systematization of care. Experience report: The experience was experienced through virtual workshops, with seven nursing professionals from a Psychosocial Care Center, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in 2020. Three virtual meetings were held, which followed the steps proposed by Charles Maguerez, starting with observation of reality, with reading and initial reflection; election of key points and theorization, using previously elected theoretical and political references, in addition to carrying out supporting readings. Through these steps, solution hypotheses emerged, which dealt with the role of nursing in organizing and documenting the possible steps for the systematization of nursing care. Therefore, critical reflection on practice was promoted, reinforcing the process of knowledge construction and the place of belonging of the nursing team in the already existing action-reflection-action spaces. Final considerations: Walking through the Maguerez arch enabled the production of institutional technical documents and a simplified guide for applying the systematization of nursing care in mental health.
