Abstract

Objective: To report the experience of a conversation circle focusing on the prevention and control of Tuberculosis held in a Family Health Unit in Porto Velho. Experience report: At the beginning of the report, the authors describe the absolute number of tuberculosis cases in the municipality and the health units with the highest prevalence of tuberculosis. After this observation, an on-site visit takes place to two health units, with a previously observed high rate of Tuberculosis and only one is chosen for the conversation to take place.  During the conversation, Community Health Agents (after signing the Free and Informed Consent Form to participate in the research) describe the difficulties in monitoring tuberculosis patients in the area in which they work and share their concerns and difficulties.  Final considerations: It is observed that the conversation circle was an important moment for community health agents to explain their difficulties as well as concerns about tuberculosis in primary health care. It is also important to highlight the importance of knowing the clinical-epidemiological profile of Tuberculosis to determine the factors that contribute to the infection and spread of the disease and to identify populations at risk.
