Abstract
Objective: To analyze the indication and administration of vaccines in post-Bone Marrow Transplant (HSCT) patients according to the CRIE calendar, the epidemiological profile, transplantation, complete or incomplete vaccination, and factors associated with non-vaccination of adult and pediatric post-HSCT patients. Methods: Observational non-concurrent cohort study, carried out through evaluation of medical records in a reference service from 2012 to 2021. Data were collected on age and sex, type of transplant, disease that led to the transplant, immunosuppression, immunoglobulin, presence of acute or chronic GVHD, indication of administered vaccines and doses, contraindications, and reasons for non-vaccination. Results: The main finding was the lack of vaccination records, with 64% of adults (110) and 61.2% of children (104) without records at 6 months. Conclusion: The indication and application of post-HSCT vaccines according to the CRIE calendar are not adequate in the institution. It is recommended that the team be trained and that a specialized nurse and a transplant doctor or infectious disease specialist be included to organize vaccination control through cards, phone calls or text messages, in addition to notifying patients of the reasons for not being vaccinated.
