Abstract
Objective: To analyze scientific publications on the role of nursing in managing complications in surgical patients during post-anesthesia recovery. Method: this is an integrative review, covering a period of 10 years. Results: the studies proposed interventions that can be used by nurses on patients in the post-anesthesia recovery room. Final considerations: Nursing management in the post-anesthesia recovery room is crucial for patient safety, requiring specific instruments to evaluate post-anesthesia complications. Future research should focus on strategies that strengthen interprofessional communication and coordination.
