Abstract
Objective: To analyze and synthesize the clinical, therapeutic, and psychosocial factors that influence the quality of life in individuals with chronic inducible urticaria. Methods: This is an integrative literature review, conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, SciELO, and Web of Science databases. Twenty-Four articles published since 2017 were included, strictly selected according to the PRISMA flowchart guidelines. Results: The disease imposes a multidimensional burden, with baseline scores indicating severe impact on quality of life and high therapeutic refractoriness. The impairment includes reduced productivity and severe psychosocial repercussions, such as sexual dysfunction and spiritual impairment. Traditional assessment instruments tend to underestimate the true impact of the disease by failing to capture the behavioral burden generated by hypervigilance and trigger avoidance. Final considerations: It can be considered that the impact of the condition is profound and multifaceted, being determined by clinical control. The study highlights the need to adopt specific patient-reported outcome measures for a reliable assessment and personalized management.
