Abstract

Objective: To describe an activity created to facilitate the understanding and fixation of the structures of the circulatory system. Experience report: This is an experience report that describes an activity devised by the monitoring team of one of the Human Anatomy disciplines of the Morphology Department at the Federal University of Paraíba. The students were voluntarily submitted to stimulating teaching strategies to improve their understanding of the subject. The activity followed planned steps for fixing the content, ranging from the narration of the physiological path of the blood, to the handling of the synthetic part and identification of the structures pointed out by the monitor in a random manner. The students demonstrated greater security when informing the selected structures and dexterity in handling the cadaverous pieces. Final considerations: Students participating in the activity showed better academic performance compared to students who had not had the same opportunity in previous semesters. It demonstrates the need for innovation in teaching, aiming at the methodological success of anatomy disciplines, sometimes lacking in performance.
