Abstract
Objective: Ensure the care and techniques that Dental Surgeons (CD) should take into account when applying Composite Resins (RC). Literature review: The use of RC for esthetic restorative processes in anterior teeth is frequently used. The resin has a range of colors, excellent opacity and translucency, greatly benefiting aesthetic procedures. On the other hand, the chances of a change in the initial staining are great, when taking into account the time of permanence of the restoration in the oral environment, its resistance to degradation leaves something to be desired, has porosity and undergoes plastic deformation with permanent dimensional change, when they exceed the limits that are proper to it, requiring a lot of scientific knowledge from the CD that will carry out the technique and the attention in choosing the materials used so that they achieve not only an excellent aesthetic but also functionality and clinical durability. Final Considerations: It is important that the CD has a good knowledge of this material, with a scientific basis, in order to qualify the criteria to assist in this process, thus seeking to be able to choose a suitable composite resin for each specific case. There are several types of composites, but micro-hybrid resins continue to be of great value in the area of Aesthetic Dentistry.
