Abstract
Objective: This study proposes to highlight the risk factors and implications of pregnancy in adolescence. Methods: Research of the type integrative review of the literature made use of descriptors, pregnancy in adolescence, implications and public health. The search was restricted to articles published in Portuguese in the period between 2012 to 2016. The query to the database was carried out from October to December 2016. As an exclusion criterion, incomplete articles and theses were used as an inadequate sample. Results: The analysis shows that early menarche, low family income, are predisposing factors of pregnancy in adolescence. Conclusion: The implications for these are preterm and low birth weight infants.
