Abstract
The real objective of this study is to identify the psychic aspects of nursing professionals who suffer or are in the initial phase of disorders related to hypochondria, experienced or identified by daily life or evidenced by the excessive workload that many nurses and nursing technicians experience before onset of symptoms, and may be confounded for the most part by other psychiatric disorders. Through this analysis was performed a narrative review about the theme hypochondria in nursing professionals, built through articles searched in the main scientific research bases during the recent five years in descending order of count. The professional who suffers from this disorder is mainly characterized by excessive concern and with one or more severe and progressive somatic disorders. Some behaviors considered abnormal by society go through studies of many years until a conclusion can be reached that solves, or at least softens the way of life of some individuals.
