Abstract

Objective: To propose a reflection on the importance of the internship for teacher training in an undergraduate English language course. Bibliographic review: Through positions and reflections of authors who are dedicated to this area of study and a review of the legislation that deals with Supervised Internship, we seek to focus on issues that involve the training of English language teachers, as well as on the challenges that involve the professional's entry into the educational field, always relating what is prescribed in these laws and publications focused on this theme with the praxis of the future English language teacher. Final considerations: In addition to being a mandatory subject in training courses for teaching, the supervised internship promotes dialogue between theory and practice and offers students the opportunity to learn about the reality of their future professional field, as well as the challenges it has in store for you.
