Abstract

Objective: To systematize the method and strategy for teaching playfulness inserted in science teaching presented in scientific production. As well as, identify the most used teaching methods for the playful approach and define playful activities in line with science teaching. Methods: Integrative literature review with research on studies carried out in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases, covering studies published between January 2017 and June 2024. The descriptors “method”; "teaching"; “science”, “class”; "ludic". Results: The results obtained were organized into a final sample consisting of 14 publications and it was evidenced that the socio-interactionist teaching method (Vygotsky) is what most supports the practice of playfulness in the classroom as well as the playful activities experienced in teaching classes science, brings great impact to students, allowing them to give their opinion on topics that are important to them and the environment in which they live. Final considerations: In this way, it can be concluded that the playfulness strategy is validated through Vygotsky's theory, as the student through playful activities becomes involved with the social environment, interacting with other individuals and developing their critical capacity in the face of the society.
