Abstract

Objective: To present the contributions of the psychoanalytic theories of Aberastury, Knobel and Winnicott on adolescence to Psychopedagogy. Literature review: Adolescence is a phase of transformations whose inherent instabilities can affect social, family and school life, including the emergence of learning problems. The text shows the interconnections between the theories, pointing out crises for Winnicott and the symptomatology of normal adolescence and mourning for Aberastury and Knobel. The instabilities and mourning experienced can alter behaviors and affect learning. Adolescents may demonstrate mood swings, executive dysfunction and questioning of authority figures, issues that tend to increase learning difficulties. Final considerations: To conclude that knowing the specialists in adolescence is essential for the psychopedagogue who has the role of guiding families and adolescents, providing activities that consolidate the bond with the patient, promoting listening that helps them in their transformation process and that ensures the development of safe behaviors.
