Abstract

Objective: To construct and validate an interprofessional simulated scenario focusing on communication skills when addressing organ donation in brain-dead patients. Methods: This methodological, descriptive study followed the stages of construction and validation (appearance and content). The theoretical framework used was the SPIKES protocol. The validation stage was conducted by experts with clinical simulation and critical patient care expertise. Inclusion criteria included professionals with expertise in the subject, based on Fehring R's (1987) criteria. Excluded were professionals without electronic contact information listed on their Lattes curriculum. Invitations for judges were sent via email, and data collection was supported by a questionnaire designed in Google Forms. The research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) under opinion number 7.062.230. Statistical tests were performed, aiming for a Content Validity Index (CVI) equal to or greater than 0.80. Results: A total of 21 judges participated, evaluating three instruments, all of which achieved a CVI equal to or greater than 0.95. Conclusion: The study was successful, with healthcare professionals contributing to enhancing the instruments and improving communication regarding organ donation within the simulated environment.
