Abstract
Obesity is a risk factor for various diseases and its incidence is increasing both in developed and developing countries. Adipose tissue plays an important role in the nutritional status and functions of the body through the cytokines and hormones production involved in glucose and lipid metabolism, inflammation, blood
pressure and feeding behavior. Therefore the study of adipose tissue and their interactions are important for understanding the complications associated with obesity such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular diseases.
