Resumen
Objetivo: Evaluar la eficacia de la auriculoterapia en el tratamiento del dolor. Métodos: Este estudio es una revisión integrativa que evalúa la eficacia de la auriculoterapia en el tratamiento del dolor y correlaciona esta técnica como alternativa al uso de fármacos. La búsqueda se realizó utilizando los descriptores de salud "AURICULOTERAPIA" y "DOLOR" en los idiomas portugués, inglés y español en el Sistema de Análisis y Recuperación de la Literatura Médica en línea (PubMed), ya que esta base de datos permite búsquedas simultáneas en las principales fuentes nacionales e internacionales. Resultados: Se incluyeron diecisiete artículos científicos para análisis integrativo, con un 16% que evalúa la auriculoterapia en conjunto con otros métodos farmacológicos. Todos los artículos muestran el beneficio de la auriculoterapia en la reducción del dolor, especialmente durante el parto (20%). Consideraciones finales: Fue posible demostrar que la auriculoterapia es una buena alternativa no farmacológica para el tratamiento de diversos tipos de dolor, como lo demuestra el éxito en la cantidad de estudios aleatorizados.
