Exercício físico e qualidade de vida em mulheres pós-menopausa: uma revisão integrativa

Resumo

Objetivo: Esclarecer a influência da prática de exercícios físicos na qualidade de vida de mulheres na pós-menopausa. Métodos: Revisão integrativa realizada nas bases de dados PubMed, Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (Medline), Literatura Latino-Americana e do caribe em ciências da saúde (Lilacs) e Índice Bibliográfico Español en Ciencias de la Salud (Ibecs), com os descritores (postmenopausal OR postmenopause) AND (exercise OR “physical activity”) AND health AND “quality of life”. Resultados: Após aplicação dos critérios determinados, foram incluídos 10 artigos que realizaram diferentes intervenções com o exercício físico, sendo treinamento resistido, treinamento aeróbico ou ambos. Quanto a avaliação da qualidade de vida, os artigos utilizaram o questionário de forma curta para qualidade de vida SF-36, A escala de Cervantes e o Questionário de Qualidade de Vida Específico para Menopausa (MENQOL). Considerações finais: O exercício físico possui o potencial de melhorar a Qualidade de Vida Relacionada à Saúde (HRQOL) de mulheres pós-menopausa, seja pela prática do treinamento de forçado treinamento aeróbico ou de ambos em conjunto. No entanto, devido ao pequeno número de artigos incluídos para a presente revisão, os dados aqui expostos precisam ser ponderados e analisados com base nos demais artigos da literatura.
