Abstract

Objective: To discuss the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on the lives of people with Alzheimer's Disease. Methods: This is an integrative review, carried out from August to November 2021. A bibliographic survey was carried out in the following databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF), Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and Cummulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature (CINHAL). For the search, the following descriptors were used: ''alzheimer's'', ''quality of life'', ''pandemic'' and ''Covid-19''. Articles were included based on primary studies, published in English, Portuguese and Spanish, related to the investigated theme and without delimitation of time frame. Six productions were included for synthesis. Results: The studies showed that there were negative impacts on the quality of life of people with Alzheimer's Disease during the Covid-19 pandemic. Final considerations: People with Alzheimer's Disease have special difficulties in dealing with the pandemic, so it is not only up to family members and caregivers to pay extra attention, but there is also a need for government intervention to stimulate programs that meet the needs of this public.
