Abordagens terapêuticas na Síndrome do Ovário Policístico

Resumo

Objetivo: Identificar as terapêuticas utilizadas no tratamento da Síndrome do Ovário Policístico (SOP) discutidas na comunidade científica, como uma forma de ajudar na escolha terapêutica. Métodos: Revisão bibliográfica integrativa da literatura, através da busca ativa nas bases de dados Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, U.S National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes Health e EBSCOHost, mediante uso de dois Descritores em Ciência da Saúde na língua inglesa, acrescidos do operador booleano, AND << “Polycystic Ovary Syndrome” AND Therapeutics >>, publicados nos últimos cinco anos e com texto completo. Resultados: A amostra final, composta por 33 artigos, evidenciou predomínio de publicações do Egito e China, na EBSCOHost e estudos clínicos prospectivos. Quanto ao tratamento, foram identificados o Letrozol para infertilidade, a intervenção dietética e modulação da microbiota intestinal para o hiperandrogenismo, e Metformina para as alterações metabólicas presente na SOP. Considerações finais: As terapêuticas utilizadas no tratamento da síndrome do ovário policístico devem ser de acordo com a queixa individual da paciente e sua eficácia, sendo as mais estudadas o Letrozol, a intervenção dietética, a modulação da microbiota intestinal e a Metformina.
