O papel da cirurgia na endometriose

Resumo
Objetivo: Identificar o papel da cirurgia na endometriose e dimensionar os efeitos dos sinais e sintomas dessa intervenção. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com artigos publicados entre 2017 a 2022, em bases de dados nacionais e internacionais e com texto completo disponível. Utilizou-se como questão norteadora: A intervenção cirúrgica reduz os níveis de dor, infertilidade e promove mais qualidade de vida comparado ao tratamento convencional? A pesquisa bibliográfica foi realizada em junho de 2022, realizando-se buscas nas bases de dados: Medical Literature Analysis and Retrievel System Online, Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde do Adolescente e Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde, realizando combinações com os termos com o uso do operador booleano AND”. Incluíram-se 28 estudos para a síntese. Resultados: Observou-se que a cirurgia em mulheres com endometriose tem um papel primordial na resolução da dor, infertilidade e melhora da qualidade de vida, semelhante ao tratamento medicamentoso. Considerações finais: Não há diferenças substanciais entre a terapia medicamentosa e a terapia cirúrgica no prognóstico de qualidade de vida, taxas de fertilidade e controle da dor.
