Aplicabilidade da “Behavioral Pediatrics Feeding Assessment Scale” em crianças com Transtornos do Espectro Autista: revisão integrativa

Resumo

Objetivo: Aprofundar as pesquisas sobre o uso da escala “Behavioral Pediatrics Feeding Assessment Scale” em crianças com Transtorno do Espectro Autista, avaliando sua aplicabilidade nesta população. Métodos: Foram levantados artigos publicados no período de 2011 a 2021, nas bases de dados PUBMED e SCIELO. O material foi analisado de acordo com título, autores, ano de publicação, caracterização dos estudos quanto aos métodos utilizados e objetivos. A amostra final foi composta por 11 artigos. Resultados: A partir das buscas de dados nas principais plataformas, os trabalhos foram categorizados em Validação da escala, Dificuldades Alimentares, Tempo gasto nas refeições e Estresse parental de acordo com os critérios. Considerações finais: Os dados apresentados neste estudo reforçam a teoria de que o uso do questionário BPFAS é viável em populações com TEA, principalmente no que se refere à avaliação do comportamento alimentar dessas crianças além da identificação dos impactos psicológicos, das mudanças no estilo de vida e na repercussão nos sentimentos dessas crianças e de seus familiares.
