Schwannoma tipo A de Antoni de região retro orbitária

Resumo
Objetivo: Descrever o caso diagnosticado como Schwannoma tipo A de Antoni em região retro orbitária esquerda e de uma ampla e crítica discussão da literatura, buscou-se abordar do diagnóstico à terapêutica após a descoberta dos Corpos de Verocay. Detalhamento de caso: Paciente do sexo feminino, parda, 78 anos, com queixa e diagnóstico oftalmológico de amaurose no olho esquerdo, com evolução de oito anos. Ao exame físico presença de exoftalmia a esquerda, tomografia computadorizada de órbita apresentando imagem de lesão expansiva com atenuação média de partes moles, contornos regulares, parcialmente definidos, localizada em situação intraconal retrobulbar à esquerda, medindo aproximadamente 2.8x2.5x2.5cm, com moderada proptose bulbar correspondente. Considerações finais: O diagnóstico tardio do schwanoma retro-orbital está diretamente correlacionado uma ampla cadeia de sinais e sintomas que corroboram para um quadro clínico de confundimento e retardo no diagnóstico e tratamento, onde a excisão cirúrgica alargada continua a ser a principal conduta.
