Vírus específicos de insetos do táxon negevírus: análise das características do vírus Brejeira

Resumo

Objetivo: Dissertar sobre o negevirus e brejeira, pertencente ao táxon Negevirus, suas características biológicas, taxonômicas e filogenéticas, bem como sobre sua circulação e possíveis futuras aplicações no controle e prevenção de arbovírus. Métodos: Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa retrospectiva de estudos sobre o vírus Brejeira, em que foram analisadas publicações nacionais e internacionais publicadas nas bases e plataformas de busca. Resultados: Foram encontrados 95 artigos publicados. Após a aplicação dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 40 artigos foram incluídos para análise completa do texto, dentre quais todos foram escritos na língua inglesa e a maior parte dos artigos foram encontrados na base de dados do PubMed, sendo possível relatar do vírus Brejeira (BREV) as caracteristicas biológicas, genômicas, a distribuição dos isolados no Brasil, bem como os diversos estudos que estão sendo feitos em relação a aplicabilidade dos vírus especifico de inseto (ISVs) no que tange a controle biológico de arbovírus, a produção de plataforma de vacinas e entre outros. Considerações finais: O BREV assim como outros negevírus, estão sendo isolados no Brasil e merecem a atenção da comunidade cientifica, pois embora não causem doenças em seres humanos e animais, possuem potencial de uso biotecnológico com utilidade dentro da saúde pública.
