Impacto das condições alimentares em adultos diabéticos

Resumo
Objetivo: Analisar os impactos das condições alimentares em pacientes portadores de diabetes. Métodos: Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura para responder a seguinte questão “Quais os impactos das condições alimentares em pessoas diabéticas?”, por meio de pesquisa nas bases de dados on-line MEDLINE, LILACS e SCIELO, vinculadas à PUBMED e à BVS. Foi realizado o filtro dos estudos publicados entre janeiro de 2017 e setembro de 2022, a partir dos descritores “Diabetes Mellitus” e “Comportamento Alimentar”. Resultados: Foram encontrados 783 trabalhos, dos quais usaram 32 artigos sobre as condições econômicas, os tipos de dieta, os diferentes hábitos e as influências da COVID-19 nos pacientes com DM 2. Depreende-se dos resultados que indivíduos em estado de insegurança alimentar são os mais suscetíveis ao aumento nos índices glicêmicos. Além disso, observa-se que padrões dietéticos e hábitos alimentares específicos influenciaram ativamente no agravo ou na melhora dos pacientes. O cenário da COVID-19 afetou drasticamente a rotina dos portadores de DM 2 e, apesar de melhorias, não houve avanço na qualidade da dieta de modo geral. Considerações finais: Por meio das evidências presentes, é possível a elaboração de políticas públicas direcionadas aos adultos diabéticos para melhor manejo dessa doença crônica.
