Saúde mental dos profissionais de saúde brasileiros durante a pandemia da COVID-19

Resumo

Objetivo: Avaliar o impacto da pandemia da COVID-19 na saúde mental de profissionais de saúde do Brasil, compilando o conhecimento produzido até o momento. Métodos: Revisão integrativa utilizando as plataformas Pubmed e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde, baseada nos termos “Psychological problems” OR “mental disorders” OR “mental health” AND “health professional” OR “health personnel” OR “health workers” OR “healthcare providers” OR “healthcare workers” AND “Covid-19” OR “Coronavirus infection” AND “Brazil”. Entre os 4.664 manuscritos encontrados na busca inicial, 62 artigos foram lidos na íntegra para avaliação de elegibilidade, selecionando-se 33 artigos. Resultados: As pesquisas apontaram o impacto dessa exposição na saúde mental dessa população. Percebeu-se predomínio dos sintomas ansiedade e depressão, alterações do sono e da qualidade de vida desta população, sugerindo deterioração da saúde mental desses profissionais, principalmente das mulheres. Considerações finais: A pandemia da COVID-19, no Brasil, expôs os profissionais da saúde a estressores adicionais. Dessa forma, as gestões dos serviços de saúde precisam estar atentas as questões de saúde mental destes trabalhadores de saúde, prover ações para enfrentar os riscos para a sua saúde mental e realizar intervenções destinadas à proteção destes.
