Medical students and telemedicine in the current context

Abstract
Objective: To analyze the relationship of students during graduation with the current scenario of telemedicine. Methods: Observational analytical study at a university in Goiânia-GO with medical students. A questionnaire was applied from April to May 2022. After the descriptive statistics, the normality test was applied and an analysis of the quantitative data was performed using the PAST software. Subsequently, a multiple comparison test was performed and the results were analyzed. The students' perception was estimated through individual and group analysis of responses. Results: Regarding knowledge and preparation to work with telemedicine, a direct relationship was found with the time in which this student entered college. 83.3% of respondents do not consider the curriculum updated and 77.5% expressed medium or great interest in curricular opportunities on the subject. The main benefits were practicality for doctors and patients and greater accessibility; the obstacles, the impact caused on the doctor-patient relationship and digital security. Conclusion: Contact with telemedicine is increasingly early among students and although they are interested in working with the topic, it is necessary to expand their knowledge and clinical skills unique to remote care during training.
