Critérios para diagnóstico da Hipomineralização Molar-Incisivo

Resumo
Objetivo: Buscar evidências na literatura sobre a Hipomineralização Molar-Incisivo (HMI) a fim de identificar os critérios utilizados para o diagnóstico. Métodos: O estudo consiste em uma revisão integrativa da literatura realizada a partir da formulação da seguinte pergunta clínica: quais os critérios utilizados para o diagnóstico da Hipomineralização Molar-Incisivo? A busca foi conduzida nas bases de dados Pubmed e Lilacs, sendo incluídos os artigos em inglês, português e espanhol, dos últimos 10 anos. O resultado da busca resultou na pré-seleção de 48 artigos. Resultados: Após o processo de busca, triagem, seleção e leitura a amostra final desta revisão foi constituída por 30 artigos científicos. O diagnóstico da HMI é normalmente determinado pelo exame visual, os critérios EAPD 2003/2009 são os mais usuais para a classificação e abordam as características clínicas da HMI e determinam-na em leve ou grave. Ainda, outros métodos mais recentes ou menos usuais foram elaborados. Considerações finais: Os critérios utilizados para classificação da HMI compreendem a avaliação das características clínicas e a severidade. A presença de opacidades demarcadas no esmalte dentário são norteadoras no diagnóstico diferencial dos demais defeitos que afetam o esmalte dentário. A HMI representa um desafio na prática clínica necessitando de manejo adequado.
